Coal Mining Background
Coal Trading & Beneficiation · Mpumalanga, South Africa

Where Raw Coal
Becomes Market Value.

House of Mines operates a structured coal sourcing and beneficiation model — converting underutilised raw supply from the Mpumalanga coal belt into specification-compliant product for local and export demand.

Source

Access to competitively priced raw ROM coal.

Process

Beneficiation through established infrastructure.

Supply

Specification-compliant coal delivered into active demand.

Structural Advantages

Built on Three
Structural Advantages.

01

Controlled Supply Access

Direct sourcing relationships with junior and small-scale miners across the Mpumalanga coal belt — giving us pricing leverage and supply flexibility that larger operators cannot access.

02

Processing Without the Overhead

We beneficiate through established third-party plants on a structured, per-ton basis. No plant ownership. No fixed capital burden. A cost base that scales with volume, not ahead of it.

03

Demand-Aligned Delivery

We don't create markets. We insert into them. Processed, specification-compliant coal delivered into active local and export demand channels — on terms that work for both sides of the transaction.

Product Supply Background
The Product We Supply

Every ton verified.
Every step controlled.

Every ton we deliver has moved through a controlled, verified process — from raw source to specification-compliant product.

01

Run of Mine (ROM) Coal

Raw coal sourced directly from vetted junior and small-scale miners across the Mpumalanga coal belt, procured at competitive pricing through established supply relationships.

02

Transportation & Oversight

Coal movement from source to processing facility is managed under appointed staff supervision — with oversight at loading point and destination weighbridge to ensure accuracy, security, and zero loss.

03

Crushed & Screened Coal

ROM coal processed to size specification through crushing and screening. Prepared for local industrial buyers and consolidators.

04

Washed & Beneficiated Coal

Coal upgraded through washing and blending to meet precise quality specifications — the core product through which margin is generated and buyer relationships are maintained.

05

Client-Specification Coal

Beneficiated coal aligned to client requirements: independently sampled, laboratory tested, and delivered into secured offtake channels.

Operating Philosophy

Discipline Is the Product.

House of Mines was not built on access to coal. It was built on the understanding that access alone produces nothing. What produces margin is the discipline applied between source and market — the control maintained at every stage of the process, the verification that precedes every procurement decision, and the consistency that makes a buyer willing to return.

Every transaction we run follows the same structure: independent sampling before commitment, appointed oversight from source to weighbridge, laboratory verification before sale. This is not procedure for its own sake. It is how quality is protected, margin is preserved, and relationships are built on something more durable than price.

We operate in the middle of the coal value chain because that is where execution determines outcome. And execution is what we control.

Field Operations Background
From the Field

From the
Mpumalanga
Coal Belt.
Verified at
Every Stage.

Our operations run across the Mpumalanga coal belt — from stockpile to processing plant to delivery. Raw ROM coal is sampled on-site by appointed samplers and tested at independent laboratories before any procurement is concluded. Verified material is transported under staff oversight, weighed at the processing facility weighbridge, and beneficiated to buyer specification. Product samples are retested before the sale is finalised.

What is contracted is what is delivered — with a controlled supply chain behind every ton.
